Earlier I wrote about Twitter disabling it’s basic authentication in exchange for the more secure OAuth. After checking my email, Twitter actually sent out a mass email to all users in regards to the change. The following is the email (for those of you with ridiculously high SPAM mail settings):

Twitter has officially closed their basic authentication protocol. What does this mean? Developer’s are now being told to switch to the more secure authentication method called OAuth.
